How to Find Us
Finance Matters
According to the Catholic Church, every parish must have a Finance Committee which is an essential element in any Catholic parish organisation. St Michael’s Finance Committee consists of members of the Parish who assist the Parish Priest with strategic and financial planning as well as health and safety and other administrative issues. The Committee meets once a quarter. Currently its members are:
Fr Chris Bergin – Parish Priest
Rev David Pattinson - Deacon
Alison Morgan (Chair)
Andrew Cooke (Health and Safety)
David Gwyther (Gift Aid)
Zoe Penfold (Treasurer)
Jacqui Shabankareh (Safeguarding)
Rocío Opazo-Aniotz (Parish Manager)
Michael Andrews
Cara Heden
Shane Murray
If you would like to contact the Finance Committee, please contact the Parish Office

How to Give
Your giving allows us to do everything we do here in this Parish, including enabling our Masses to take place, sacramental preparation, work with children and youth and their families, the sick and housebound, our courses and so much more.
All of this is made possible by your prayers, serving and giving – we couldn’t do it without you. Thank you.
We really appreciate your weekly giving at Mass. Donating a regular amount of money is the best way of supporting your Parish financially. It enables us to plan ahead, knowing that we have a reliable source of income, especially in these uncertain times.
Throughout life, circumstances change. The Parish will be pleased to receive whatever you feel able to give. Please be assured that every aspect of your giving is treated with the utmost confidentiality.
WAYS OF GIVING
Standing Order
By far way and away the most efficient way of giving.
Click HERE to download a form or pick one up from the narthex and then return the form to the Parish Office.
Account name: RCD A&B St Michael Ashtead
Account number: 21076248
Sort code: 40-05-20
Bank reference: your name
Gift Aid
If you are a taxpayer and are able to Gift Aid your donation, that increases your giving by 25%. So, £10 a week, becomes £12.50. On average that increases the Parish income by £13-14,000 per year. Click HERE to download a Gift Aid form or pick one up from the narthex. Fill it in and return it to the parish office.
Contactless devices
There are now two contactless machines in the narthex enabling you to give by using your credit or debit cards. This is a very quick and convenient way to give not only for offertories but for second collections as well.
Cash
Cash is still very welcome, so if that is still your preferred means of giving that is absolutely fine.
